Wine Rival is thrilled to announce the addition of André Mack as the featured Sommelier for the 2021 event. André‘s resume is a mile long as he comes from renowned restaurants like Per Se [...]
WINE RIVAL (formerly Somm Madness) brings together the nation’s wine and sommelier community along with wine enthusiasts for a blind tasting tournament unlike any other. Sixty-four individuals will go head-to-head to advance to the championship round with the ultimate hope of taking home the grand prize: $20,000 cash.
The event kicks off with the TAILGATE TASTING, a curated walk-around reception taking place prior to-and-during the tournament. The tasting event features 400+ world-renowned wine, beers, and spirits such as Silver Oak, Jordan, and Duckhorn, in addition to a grand display and passed hors d’oeuvres catered exclusively by DineAmic Catering. All ticket holders will watch the tournament while the 64 registered competitors try their luck at the tasting tournament led by renowned judges.
Much like any sporting/concert event, a jaw-dropping introduction complete with audiovisual effects captivates the audience before the competition and sets the tone for the evening. The 2021 event will feature none other than Jim Nantz, the announcer for the Super Bowl, March Madness, The Masters, and many more of the most iconic sporting events.
Wine Rival has quickly progressed to the world’s most exciting bling wine tasting tournament!
